About Us
Founded in 1999, VOKRA is driven by our mission to end cat overpopulation and
homelessness. We rescue, heal, and home cats — first through our compassionate network of
foster families, then into carefully matched, loving forever homes. As a passionate, volunteer-
driven charity with deep expertise in feline care, we believe that every cat deserves a chance at
life. We champion no-kill rescue, support trap–neuter–return (TNR) as a proven solution, and
celebrate the simple truth: cats are awesome.
We’re powered by community spirit, volunteer dedication, and compassionate supporters who
believe in creating a better world for cats.
